Privacy Policy

FindMyBin

Effective date: 27 August 2026

Overview

FindMyBin helps you find nearby public and recycling bins and obtain walking directions. This policy explains what information the app processes, why it is needed, and the choices available to you. FindMyBin is operated by the FindMyBin developer, Th3ThirdMan.

Information we process

Precise location

When you tap Find a Bin, Locate Again, or use live results, the app asks your device for its precise latitude and longitude. Location access is optional and only begins after you grant permission. The app cannot provide nearby-bin and route results without it.

Your most recent coordinates are temporarily stored in your device's session storage so the current search continues to work. FindMyBin does not create a location-history database or associate coordinates with an account.

Technical information

Our hosting provider and the external services described below may receive routine technical information such as your IP address, browser or device type, request time, and diagnostic information needed to deliver and protect their services. FindMyBin does not use advertising or analytics SDKs.

How information is used

Location and technical information are used only to:

FindMyBin does not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or create user profiles.

Service providers and external services

To provide its core functions, FindMyBin transmits or exposes relevant information to these providers:

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. FindMyBin does not permit them to use information on its behalf for FindMyBin advertising.

Retention and deletion

FindMyBin does not intentionally retain your precise location on its server after responding to a request. The temporary location stored on your device lasts only for the current browser or app session and can be removed by closing the session or clearing the app's site data. Service providers may retain routine security and operational records according to their own retention policies.

FindMyBin has no user accounts or stored user profiles to delete. If you have a privacy or deletion question, use the contact method below.

Your choices

You can decline or revoke location permission in your device or browser settings. You may also clear FindMyBin's temporary site data. Revoking location access prevents nearby-bin searches and walking-route calculations from working.

Security

FindMyBin uses HTTPS to encrypt information in transit and limits its processing to the data needed to provide the requested feature. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Children

FindMyBin is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. The app does not knowingly create profiles of children or collect their names, contact details, or account information.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if FindMyBin's features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will identify the latest version.
